Last night new father Liam Payne attended Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards in London. Liam was on hand to present his pal James Corden with the MAN of the Year award. Liam took the opportunity to take a dig at Zayn Malik’s decision to leave 1D.
We gotta say, Liam MAY have a future as a stand up comedian because he was absolutely HILARIOUS. Now if you recall, Zayn left 1D in March of 2015, and now two years later we’re finally joking about his untimely exit.
Interestingly this isn’t the first time Liam has mentioned Zayn’s departure from the group. Last month Liam did an interview where he told Dan Wooten’s Bizarre Life podcast how Zayn’s departure affected their friendship saying QUOTE, “It was so much fun and I don’t understand how you can come out of that experience and say things that he says sometimes. It doesn’t make any sense to me.” We gotta say we agree with you Liam!
The “Strip That Down” singer was also very positive on the red carpet at the Women of the Year Awards last night. Liam gushed about his 11 week old son Bear saying QUOTE, “[Cheryl’s] got him in a sleeping pattern already we’re getting seven hours of sleep a night… he looks a lot like me people are saying but I think he has her eyes.”
Liam also revealed that just before Bear was born he recorded his heartbeat and it was used as a drum beat on his new album. All together now: Awwwwwww!
