Celebrities don’t usually have time to call out every single one of their haters, but Lili Reinhart made an exception for one particular fan. It all started when the Riverdale fan was SO annoyed by the alleged incident that happened on Monday that she needed to tweet all about it.
The fan told her side of the story by tweeting QUOTE, “I went out in downtown Vancouver tonight and I bumped into the cast of Riverdale. I love that show and I was kinda drunk, so I kinda approached Cole Sprouse in a friendly way as if I knew him.” The fan went on to explain by saying that she’s just a friendly person in general and thought nothing of her behavior.
After her friendly greeting, that’s when things started to go downhill. She continued to tweet QUOTE, “The prick was like ‘Who the fuck are you’ and was just so rude so I just walked away. Basically, the moral of the story, downtown Vancouver is trash and the cast of Riverdale are disgusting and rude. If you’re a celebrity, you gotta deal with the consequences, you know you’re signing up for the public to talk to you, otherwise just quit. I just wanna say FUCK RUDE PEOPLE, don’t become a celeb if you want privacy, you get paid for having fans so respect them or be nice at least.”
Later in the day, Lili caught wind of the negative tweets and decided to share HER side of the story. Lili tweeted in response to the fan and wrote, “You do not have the right to approach STRANGERS and throw your arms around us like you know us. What you did was not cool and inappropriate. Cole’s response to you was “do I know you?” After you rudely invaded our space and got in our faces. It’s easy to make us look like the bad guys because you think there’s no chance in hell we would ever call you out on it. Here you go.”
Let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks they can get away with overexaggerating a celebrity sighting story.
What do you guys make of all this? Do you think the fan was in the wrong for acting super chummy or do you think Cole could’ve handled the situation better? Let me know in the comment section below!
