Mac Miller dropped a brand new song about a failed relationship the same day Ariana Grande dropped her new single,
… is it a coincidence?
Ariana Grande just dropped her latest single, ‘God is a Woman’ on Thursday night…and it just so happens Mac Miller dropped his latest single “Self-Care” the same night. Now, we know Ari actually released her track a week early and now it only makes us wonder…was it for the fans or was it because she knew Mac was about to release his single?
This fan definitely thought this was done intentionally on Ariana’s part, tweeting “ “Hey @ArianaGrande, I thought you were the “bigger person” but I guess not. Dropping a song on the same day as Mac Miller. What a nice way to steal his thunder. “
As we all know, the two exes Ariana Grande and Mac Miller broke up back in May of this year, and though we had once thought it was an amicable breakup that ended with a friendship… Ari later made it clear that wasn’t the case. After a fan told her she shouldve stayed with Mac, Ari responded, calling her and Mac’s relationship toxic and revealed that it felt as though she was his babysitter.
So after learning that these two aren’t on the best terms, fans were left only to question whether or not the two dropping singles on the same day is just a coincidence. Especially considering the fact that Mac Miller’s new song talks about a failed relationship.
Some of those lyrics include “"Can't trust no one, can't even trust yourself yeah/" Which has lead people to believe he was maybe talking about not being able to trust Ari?
In the song, he also says “Well, didn’t know what I was missing / Now it see a lil’ different/ I was thinking too much / Got stuck in oblivion,"
And that’s not all. There’s even this lyric that says “We play it cool , We know we f—ed up, yeah/ You keep on sayin’ you in love, so/" Well, Ariana IS in love right now with Pete Davidson…but before I get too ahead of myself, I don’t think there’s anyway to know for sure whether or not this song is about Ariana.
Now I want to turn it over to you guys. Do you think these songs were dropped on the same day on purpose? Or was it a coincidence? Hit me with your thoughts down in the comments below.
