Melbourne’s Hidden Laneway Eats You NEED To Try!

Join us for the ultimate Melbourne laneway food adventure as we revisit some of our favourite hidden eats and discover brand new spots around the city. From flaky pastries at Bakemono Bakers and a nondescript Cantonese eatery to a celebration of Australian produce at Myrtle Wine Bar and Japanese gelato at Hareruya Pantry- this is a true local food experience.

After moving back to Melbourne we’re diving straight into the city’s iconic laneways and discovering the city's best laneway dining and eats.

What we ate and where we ate it:

1. Bakemono Bakers, 273 Little Lonsdale St, Melbourne VIC 3000. Open Monday to Friday 7:30am-3pm and Saturday-Sunday 8:30am-3pm. Yuzu almond croissant $10.30, pain au chocolat $7, magic and hojicha latte $5.30

2. Mandarin Food Store, 30 Rose Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000. Open 7 days, 11-3:30pm and 4:30pm-9:30pm. Beef brisket $25 and ma po tofu $18

3. Hareruya Pantry CBD, 27 Somerset Pl, Melbourne VIC 3000. Open daily 10:30am-10:30pm. Genmaicha gelato daikuku $6.80

4. Myrtle Wine Bar, 15 Warburton Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000. Open Monday-Thursday 3pm-10pm, Friday 12pm-11pm and Saturday 2pm-11pm. Sardine finger $12 (each) and duck liver parfait $24
