Miley Cyrus posts an instragram video about her new HOpefulHippie foundation post Trump win.
Miley has wiped away her post election tears and is ready to take action!
Miley has never been one to shy away from politics. She was very vocal about her support for Bernie Sanders and then for Hillary Clinton. Following Trumps win she posted a Facebook video expressing how upset she was with the election results. She said in the video quote, “. "Please, if you want to open your mind, and open your heart, I would love to give you a key." And that is exactly what Miley is doing. In a video posted to instagram today she is starting an education initiative called Hopeful Hippies. She explained that #HOpefulHippies is a social media campsign for people to actively share their stories using the hashtag and also for people to get involved in their own communities.
This coincides with her Happy Hippie foundation, An existing foundation for homeless LGBTQ youth. Miley said quote, “"I'm starting off by pledging to education, and I'm excited Happy Hippie will now be supporting classroom projects and schools with DonorsChoose!! “
She would like you to share your pledge and take action using hashtag HopefulHippies and she will be reposting some of her favorites!
