The government will allow for the demonstration against the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (Icerd) on December 8 as long as the organisers adhere to the law under the Peaceful Assembly Act said Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said Malaysia is a democratic country and would be open to anyone voicing their concerns but they could not provoke racial or religious sentiments that could create problems.
PAS and Umno will hold a joint protest against the Icerd in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 8th.
