New Zealand wine that fights slavery + FRESH SALMON off the boat | New Zealand food tour

We start this episode in Waipara in the Canterbury region of Te Wāi Pounamu, the South Island. This is wine country and we’re taking you into a family wine business like no other. 27seconds operates as a social enterprise one where 100% of the profits go towards ending modern day slavery. We then travel to Banks Peninsula an area made up of picturesque bays and stunning bush to buy fresh salmon from Akaroa Salmon straight off the boat before cooking it up in the camper van.

1. 27seconds at Terrace Edge Vineyard, 328 Georges Rd, RD2, Waipara 7482. Open 11:00am to 4:30pm Thursday to Sunday. 2. Salmon from Akaroa Salmon can be purchased from Wainui wharf, Sunday 9:30am to 10:00am and Monday to Wednesday 9:00am to 9:30am. Contact the team prior to make sure they're harvesting: +64 3 348 2191. Payment by card is preferred and fish cost between $35-$45NZD (each) depending on the weight. OR at the shop 89 Treffers Road, Wigram, Christchurch 8042. Open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am to 2:00pm.
