We’re taking your tastebuds on a round the world food tour of Panmure one of our favourite suburbs for eating in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland- New Zealand’s biggest city.

In this video we’re going behind the scenes of Beijing Duck Restaurant, New Zealand’s best restaurant for Peking duck. The chef owner, Chef Wang, a Peking duck master from Quanjude one of Beijing’s most famous Peking duck restaurants. He’s roasted and carved thousands of ducks and today we get exclusive access into his kitchen. Then we share traditional pretzels and doughnuts from Sylvia’s Bakery a German bakery before taking you to a locals favourite, Blossom Court where we feast on Malaysian street food of smoky char kway teow and refreshing cendol. We’re hunting down Auckland’s best eats, hit subscribe and get ready for some mouthwatering food.

What we ate and where we ate it:

1. Peking Duck at Beijing Duck Restaurant, 38 Queens Road, Panmure, Auckland 1072. Open Wednesday to Monday 11:30am to 2:30pm and 5:30pm to 9:00pm. Peking duck needs to be ordered at least 2 hours ahead of time. You can add courses to the Peking duck meal (eg a second course using the duck bones) for extra.

2. Pretzel and Berliner at Sylvias’ Bakery, 12 Queens Road, Panmure, Auckland 1072. Open Wednesday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm and Friday to Saturday 7:00am to 2:00pm and Sunday 8:00am to 12:00pm.

3. Char kway teow and cendol at Blossom Court, 135 Queens Road, Panmure, Auckland 1072. Open Wednesday to Monday 11:00am to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
