In this video we’re discovering the stories behind 3 Iconic Auckland Eats. Iconic Auckland Eats is a list celebrating 100 unique Auckland dishes as awarded by Aucklanders who love to eat. We take you into the kitchen of Sneaky Snacks, where junk food dreams come alive to share their OG Donut Burger- a glazed donut burger with a Korean twist. We visit a city stalwart- Sri Pinang, who have been dishing up their Malaysian beef rendang for 30 years and dive into a bowl of pillowy kūmara gnocchi from Cotto, an Italian restaurant churning out delicious, affordable food that champions New Zealand ingredients.

What we ate and where we ate it:

1. OG Donut Burger at Sneaky Snacky, 184 Karangahape Road, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010. Open Tuesday to Saturday 11:00am to 3:00pm and 4:00pm to 9:00pm and Sunday 12:00pm to 8:00pm.

2. Beef rendang at Sri Pinang, 356 Karangahape Road, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010. Open Tuesday to Friday 11:30am to 2:30pm and 5:30pm to 10:00pm and Saturday 5:30pm to 10:00pm. BYO $3 for a bottle of wine and $1 for beer.

3. Kūmara gnocchi at Cotto, 375 Karangahape Road, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010. Open Monday to Saturday 5:00pm to 10:00pm.
