Niall Horan has just announced some very exciting news, and if you haven’t already guessed, it involves a stage, his chart-topping hits, and of course, his biggest fans.
So you may want to sit down for this one… ready? Ok… NIALL HORAN IS OFFICIALLY TOURING so cue the fainting of the fangirls.
Told you it was a big freaking deal! After the success of not one, but two solo singles, Niall Horan is set to hit the road for his first ever 21-stop tour, called Flicker Sessions 2017, where he’ll cover his hometown of Ireland, the UK and a portion of the U.S.
The tour kicks off on August 29th, naturally in Niall’s home turf of Dublin, Ireland, and seeing that he’s been hard at work crafting up his debut album, it’s safe to say Niall will have plenty of material come tour time. News of the tour was announced just this morning as Niall took to social media to share the Flicker Sessions dates, writing QUOTE, “Hello lovely people, I’m delighted to announce the Flicker Sessions 2017. I can’t wait to perform my own shows for ya! To find out more, go to niallhoran.com.”
Buuuut with every bit of good news, there also comes some bad news… if you were eagerly waiting for Niall’s “Slow Hands” music video, the wait may be a little longer AKA indefinite until further announced. During a recent appearance on Ash London Live! Niall revealed that he had already shot the entire video, but wasn’t quite feeling it. He said QUOTE, “I don’t think the videos going to happen. I shot it and then it didn’t turn out how I wanted it to.”
So just because I’m a self-described optimist, let’s look at the bright side here: Niall’s video might be scrapped, but just think of his upcoming tour as like your very own live version of “Slow Hands”, and I’m just gonna go out on a limb and assume you’d probably prefer to see him perform it live in person. But that’s just me.
But with the first tour dates just two months away, many are curious as to know what Niall’s former One Direction mates think about his new endeavor… but rest assured, the band is NOT feuding. Niall insisted that the media would not be getting in the way of their friendship, saying QUOTE, “The media usually likes to create rivalry between us, but it’s great that they can't because we’re all releasing different types of music. I've heard Liam’s new song and Louis’ stuff, and they’ve heard some of mine. It's good to have that because we will be honest with each other if we don't like it, especially because we've done that for so many years.”
Even more of a reason to attend one of Niall’s shows – his lads are sure to also attend, so don’t wait to purchase your tickets for the Flicker Sessions tour THIS Friday, and if you’re really set on purchasing, presale prices for the tickets begins on Thursday, so you’re welcome.
