According to GQ, Nicki Minaj is a cheeky genius, pun intended. As she’s featured in latest edition of the magazine, she reveals just how far her brilliance goes. For years, Nicki’s image has been synonymous with bigger than life. From her pink wigs, her outrageous outfits, to those alter egos that kept us asking- will the real Nicki Minaj please stand up- that wild and colorful image was part of the campaign that made her today’s rap mogul. She’s got more Billboard Hot 100 hits than Michael Jackson and her Anaconda video not surprisingly broke the record for most views in a 24 hour period. 19.6 million in a single day, if you must know. But Nicki has now returned to her demure roots. Just long black hair extensions and natural looking make-up. "I always thought that by the time I put out a third album,” she says in the magazine, “I would want to come back to natural hair and natural makeup. And what does she have to say about her sex and ass themed hit single, Anaconda? That it has nothing to do with sex or asses. Really, Nicki? She innocently reveals that the song’s reference to anaconda isn’t a simile, but rather she really is singing about a snake and that the video is meant to look like a bunch of girls hanging out at one big slumber party. Damn her and her feigned innocence! She’s got us eating out of the palm of her hands! And if you think Nicki wasn’t always a girl boss, this might change your mind. She revealed she was once fired from a waitressing gig at Red Lobster after she "followed a couple who had taken her pen into the parking lot and then flipped them the bird.” The power of pet peeves.
