The guys of 1D aren’t newbies to the world of fan fiction, but being mentioned in a book written by the mastermind behind Harry Potter might be a first for the band! There’s a part in J.K’s ‘Career of Evil’ that mentions both Niall and 1D and it has Directioners FREAKING out. Apparently Jo, yes I’m on a nickname-basis with her, decided to name one of her character’s boyfriend after the Irish cutie and like 1D fans, J.K’s other character Hazel had a meltdown over it. However, Detective Strike, who’s the main character, did not understand why Hazel was upset by this. So obviously, she had to explain it to him because he totally didn’t get the reference! She said QUOTE ‘One Direction. The band. They’re a band that came third on The X Factor. She’s obsessed – she was obsessed – and Niall was her favorite. So when she says she’s met a boy called Niall and he’s eighteen and he’s got a motorbike, I mean, what were we supposed to think?’ Well, I think we’re supposed to assume that Kelsey and Niall Horan are dating, but that’s just my opinion.

J.K. wasn’t the only person giving Niall a shout out! Selena Gomez was recently a guest DJ on iHeartRadio and not only did she add 1D’s ‘Drag Me Down’ to her playlist, she also sent her BFF Niall a special message over the airwaves! She said QUOTE ‘Gotta shout out to Niall Horan, one of our best friends! He’s so unbelievably kind and deserves everything he has.’ That’s so sweet of her.
