Niall Horan Finally Addresses Selena Gomez Relationship Rumors!

What’s up guys it’s Dani Golub here with Clevver News and we might actually have some sort of answer to that last question, thanks to Niall finally giving us a first hand account of what happened.The rumors all started in 2015, right where all rumors start - at Jenna Dewan’s birthday party. That was while she was still Jenna Dewan Tatum. So let’s all take a moment of silence for that lost but not forgotten relationship.………….... Okay moving on.According to a source at the party, Selena and Niall apparently made out and both really enjoyed their rounds of tonsil hockey.The source told E! News that “Selena seemed super into it. And Niall even more so” at the time of the alleged make out.Jenna’s birthday is in December, so this all supposedly happened a while after Selena had broken up with Zedd in April.And it was right before she started dating The Weeknd the following year. But a couple weeks after the rumored make out, Selena friend zoned Niall during an interview on the red carpet of the Billboard’s Women in Music event. She asserted that the two were just friends. And nothing really came of it from there, despite multiple more sightings of the pair out for dinner and at an amusement park together. We didn’t hear much else from them until this past October, when a photo surfaced of the two of them at a group dinner with friends.A mutual friend of theirs, Courtney Lopez, posted a photo of the two of them, as well as other friends of theirs all together at dinner in Los Angeles. This was the same friend that Selena went to Kacey Musgraves with in August. But apparently after the group dinner, Selena was also photographed going into Niall’s house that same week. And people began to speculate even more when they promoted each other’s new music via instagram stories.Selena posted a photo of her listening to Niall’s new song “Nice to Meet Ya” on apple music - very on brand for her. She said “this came out like 5 minutes ago and I’m pretty sure you need to download”.Shortly after that, Niall happened to run into a new Selena Gomez billboard somewhere on his travels. This came just days after they hung out at his house together. And he wrote “Hello there Sel” on his story too. “Sel”. That’s an awfully familiar nickname for her, Niall! But before we could get our hopes up too much, Niall shut down any dating rumors about the two of them on a radio interview. During the short chat, he made sure to say that the two were “just friends” He’s right! There certainly aren’t too many photos of them together. And there’s more bad news. On top of them not being in a relationship, they’re also not making music together either. He told the radio show, “No collaborations as of yet. I know she's been doing some music too. We were just out for dinner."Which brings us to this month, and Niall’s radio interview with Australia’s Hit 90.0. The host said a lot of young girls were calling in to ask if he was dating anyone, quote “because we’ve been looking at him tagging Selena Gomez on Instagram”.And he doubled down again, confirming that he hasn’t started a relationship with Selena since the last time he was asked publicly two months ago.But it wasn’t all bad news! Apparently he’s got a lot more down the pipeline that we’ll be seeing shortly into the new year. So what I’m hearing is that maybe he’s open to dating selena if she wanted to date him as well.But he’s focused on music right now, he says - which is still good for us! His last song came out in early November, and fans think that he’s gearing up to announce a second new single.Or better yet, a whole new album. So the relationships can for sure wait! Selena will still be there when he’s done with his new album. But I wouldn’t expect to hear much about their possible relationship from her. Selena doesn’t really talk about relationships ever.Except in her music, and even then she stays pretty vague.Like, we still don’t know if she actually ever dated Charlie Puth. He says that they were together for a short amount of time, and that things got pretty passionate between the two of them. In the end, he said that their relationship failed because she was still very much in love with Justin Bieber. Uh oh.But Selena’s team denied that any relationship ever happened between the two of them, and that they were just paired up for their song “We Don’t Talk Anymore”.Selena herself never mentioned any relationship with Charlie - real or fake.
