A monument to remember fallen Japanese soldiers in Kedah, hailing them as heroes during the Japanese Occupation has caused an uproar among the community.
Kedah Chinese Assembly Hall president Datuk Cheng Lai Hock on Sunday said the erection of the monument was insensitive as many victims and soldiers were killed when they were fighting against the Japanese during World War II.
