THE PARENTS of a medical student who was disemboweled and killed during a rape are ‘dismayed' that one of their daughter's attackers was given airtime in a controversial new BBC film. Leslee Udwin's film 'India's Daughter’, which first aired in the UK on March 5th 2015, included an interview with Mukesh Singh - one of six males convicted for the notorious attack on Jyoti Singh on a moving bus. The family also discussed the Indian government's decision to ban the film and their struggle to come to terms with the death of their daughter - who they say they are proud of for fighting back against her attackers - as well as the forthcoming release of one of Jyoti's killers in December.
