Perkasa has sent a letter to the United Nations counter-terrorism committee in defence of Zakir Naik, this was in response to Hindraf who had written to the UN security council's counter-terrorism committee (CTC) asking it to advise Malaysia to revoke Indian national Zakir Naik's permanent residence (PR) over alleged terrorism-linked concerns.
Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali said that the letter was sent to clarify several of the content in Hindraf's letter and to clear the name of the country from allegations that it was harboring individuals with alleged links to terrorism.
