Try as you might, but after enduring a very public breakup following a 2-year engagement, sometimes you just can’t help but let it all out…
And that unfortunate time just so happened to be during one of Little Mix’s many performances while promoting their new album in the U.S. While the British foursome treated fans to an intimate performance yesterday of one of their new songs “The End,” Perrie’s verse seemed to hit far too close to home as she broke down in tears just a few weeks after her public breakup with Zayn Malik. Take a look:
This even makes me tear up, you guys! Perrie attempted to sing the lyrics, "no one can love you, the way I used to do," and she just couldn’t pull through, BUT the rest of Little Mix was quick to come to her rescue as they stopped singing and comforted her onstage. And not only were her bandmates Leigh Anne, Jade and Jesy insanely supportive of her following her breakdown, but the entire audience delivered kind words, yelling, “We Love You Perrie!”
Jesy quickly mentioned to the crowd that QUOTE, “It’s been a long day, and we’ve had no sleep, so I think this is why this has happened; we’re just very emotional!” which doesn’t come as much of a surprise since the girls have been nonstop the past few weeks on their US promo tour, performing their newest single “Black Magic” throughout the country.
Perrie’s tears also come shortly after the subtle shade-throwing going on between Zayn and Little Mix, including his retweeting Fifth Harmony’s single over favoriting Little Mix’s single and him unfollowing Little Mix on Twitter. But the success of Little Mix and their upcoming music couldn’t come at a better time, as the album is already #1 on pre-order in the UK and is quickly earning all the hype it deserves here in the U.S. And hey, as long as Perrie got her girls, she’ll be just fine!
