If you thought you were shocked to find out that Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande got engaged, you can only imagine how the comedian’s ex-girlfriends felt. Carly Aquilino (ah-qwa-leen-uh) dated the Saturday Night Live star way back in 2015, but she’s still feeling pretty shook over the engagement news.
The MTV Girl Code star shared what seems to be her reaction to Pariana getting engaged after just a few weeks of dating via text message on her Instagram story, but quickly deleted the image. But never fear! Quick-thinking fans saved the screenshot before it disappeared from social media.
One of Carly’s friends texted her QUOTE “I know I’m the 9 billionth person to text you today about this, but… I can’t.”
The stand-up comedian responded the same way we all would’ve with some hardcore laughter and then wrote on the screenshot QUOTE “My day in a text message.”
Pete’s most recent ex, Cazzie David, had a pretty funny reaction when news of Ariana and Pete’s relationship broke last month. She wrote on Instagram, along with a picture of herself on safari, QUOTE “Been in Africa, what’d I miss.”
Some fans think she also reacted to the engagement news yesterday by saying QUOTE “Came to wine country a person, leaving a human bottle of wine.”
Ariana confirmed her engagement yesterday and seems super happy with Pete, but we do have to wonder what her ex, Mac Miller, has to say about the news. The pair dated for almost two years before they announced their breakup at the beginning of May. Ariana later revealed that the relationship was toxic but said she QUOTE “will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out and that any other woman in this position does as well.”
