Robert Pattinson will always be known as Edward from Twilight, but according to the actor that almost wasn’t entirely the case…
In an interview with The New York Times over the weekend, Rob confessed that there was a point when he was almost fired from the Twilight franchise due to his constant arguing with the people in charge of the film. Luckily his agents intervened and flew to Canada where he was filming to straighten him out. He explained QUOTE, “I didn’t have to kiss anybody’s ass the entire time...I don’t think I did, anyway.” Well lucky for Rob it sounds like that’s what the reps were there for.
Though he was admittedly difficult to work with at certain points of the production, Rob doesn’t regret taking on the role and even said that it was QUOTE “an amazing luxury...amazing luck, as well, to just have fallen into it with the group of people I worked on it with”.
As for his post-Twilight life, Rob’s film “Good Time” just premiered at Cannes to a warm reception, and it was also announced at the festival that he’ll be starring in an upcoming Martin Scorsese produced film called “The Souvenir”.
