Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone Make Beautiful Music Together In First 'La La Land' Trailer

Featuring a young romance, the movie La La Land is already being described as a “modern take on the Hollywood musical.” Emma plays Mia, an aspiring actress who serves coffee during the day. And Ryan plays Sebastian, a jazz musician who makes a living by playing in dark and dingy bars. The two fall in love, but the pressure of trying to make it big in Hollywood, might just ruin them in the end.
Okay though, why would anyone purposefully try to tear Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone apart? I mean come on, they are like the most amazing couple ever, especially when they’re singing and dancing! Duh, common knowledge people.
The trailer doesn’t contain any dialogue, but is set to the original song, “City of Stars” performed by Ryan himself.
We see the two going on dates, taking auditions, and even sharing a kiss at the end. The movie, directed by Damien Chazelle, is set to hit theaters on December 2nd. But if you’re like me and seriously cannot wait that long, Ryan’s “City of Stars” track is available on iTunes right now for all of us to download.
Along with today’s trailer release, Emma Stone has once again proved there is nothing she can’t do. Just last night, she made an appearance on the season finale of NBC’s Maya and Marty. Not only did she play a ghost intern in a sketch who scares the living daylights out of Kenan Thompson, but she also performed Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” using only a butter tub.
