A Ryan Gosling look-a-like managed to pull off an EPIC La La Land-themed promposal asking Emma Stone to prom, so all you other outrageous promposals can step aside.
After watching what may go down to be the best promposal of all time, maybe Jacob isn’t just another “fool who dreams”, because in reality, how could Emma NOT say yes?!
Emma Stone, wherever you are, stop what you’re doing and answer the most important question of high schooler Jacob Staudenmaier’s junior year career. With the help of his peers, the Phoenix native has perfectly recreated the opening scene to Emma’s Oscar-winning film La La Land while singing along to “Another Day of Sun” in his school parking lot to ask her to his prom at Arcadia High School, and as if he already doesn’t look AND sound like Ryan Gosling, prepare to have your mind blown.
Personalizing the song to fit his one burning question to Emma, Jacob changed the wording around, with award-winning rhyming lines like, “Jacob Staudenmaier is my name/ Emma Stone if you came/ I think I'd lose it, Go insane/ We'll have to see...I hope you'll want to come on down/ I'll see your face and think of how/ I got so lucky.”
Jacob clearly had a few more tricks up his sleeve as he sings about Emma being a fellow Arizona-native, and even promises to buy her dinner, because really, who can say no to being wined and dined at Olive Garden?
Naturally, the video has gone viral on Twitter, racking up over 17,000 retweets and 38,000 likes, so it’s only a matter of time until Emma gets hold of the video, and turning Jacob down is just not an option at this point. But while we all wait to see Emma’s response, I want to know what you guys thought about Jacob’s promposal, so hit us up right down here in the comments and as always be sure to subscribe for all the latest updates.
