On Saturday Selena Gomez turned twenty five and she’s already hinting it’ll be her best year ever. Selena posted two photos to Instagram, including a peek inside her friend circle. Selena posted a photo sitting on her candlelit kitchen counter in sweatpants, surrounded by teal and white balloons along with not one but TWO cakes.
She confidently captioned the celebratory photo, “Thank you for all of my bday love. I couldn't be more blessed. A lot of you don't realize how much you mean to me. I. Love. You. --think 25 is going to be epic. Xo”. Selena then posted a second photo of the moment revealing her closest pals have joined her at her house for a PJ party! Selena captioned the photo simply, “My people”. Hmmmm, anyone notice a certain friend missing in action?
In addition, Selena’s boyfriend The Weeknd was MIA due to a concert gig in Paris. But don’t worry! The Weeknd jetted back to LA to be with his girl the very next day. The two were spotted out to a belated birthday dinner at Soho House in Malibu after a casual lunch date earlier in the day.
Even though this was HER big day, Selena is continuing her dedication to doing good for others. Instead of gifts she asked her friends and family to make a donation to a cause dear to her heart. She encouraged her fans to do the same, tweeting: “Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! Asked my family and friends to make a donation- if you want to join:” along with a link to donate to the Lupus Research Alliance.
