OMG, Selenators… all signs were pointing to new Selena Gomez music and WE. CAN’T. WAIT!
What a ride we’ve had over the last few days. with summer just around the corner, we were starting to wonder if we’d get any more new bops from some of our favorite artists, but thanks to an employee at Interscope records, it looks like Selena Gomez is gonna have new single coming sooner than we thought!
That’s right! One Interscope employee prematurely posted promo for a song titled “Back To You” on her Instagram story, with single art and all, and from the looks of it, it’s pretty legit. Plus, the song was already registered in the BMI songwriting database, so we knew something was definitely happening. It also seems like PUMA will be involved in the new single somehow as well, since some of the art the employee shared includes PUMA sneakers! Wow.
Along with the new artwork, there werea few other hints that some new Sel music is on the horizon. For example, in the photo her makeup artist Hung Vanngo posted on Instagram just a few days ago captioned “Coming Soon...,” Selena’s rocking a brand new bob haircut. Hmm… While that in and of itself is too vague to assume that a new single is on the way, Hung also happened to tag Stella Greenspan in the photo.
So, who exactly is Stella Greenspan? Well, if the name doesn’t ring a bell, she’s one of the people who worked with Selena on her “Fetish” Video. So, could the new ‘do mean a new music video is on the way? It kinda seems like it!
Of course, there were tons of rumors floating around the web regarding that photo and what exactly she was filming that day. One Twitter user even claimed it was taken in the same place as Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, and that since it’s rumored that Tay’s friends are going to be in the music video for “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” it could’ve been for that as well.
HOWEVER, to lay the rumor mills to rest, Selena JUST posted this Polaroid to instagram with the caption “#BacktoYou . Out May 10th, part of the @13ReasonsWhy S2 soundtrack. I’m so excited for you guys to hear it❣️”
So, yes, it’s confirmed! New Selena! May 10th!
