Selena Gomez released a mini-documentary, taking fans behind the scenes of two polar opposite sides of her life, from the glitz and the glam, to growing up in a small town.
Today’s episode is presented by Lyft. It matters how you get there. Download and ride today.
Her very own Coach line, the Met Gala, campaigning for the empowerment of young women… Seriously, is there anything this girl hasn’t done?
Consider Selena Gomez to be like the IRL-Hannah Montana – except for the fact that she’s not at all ashamed to show people where she came from and how far she’s come since growing up with a teenage mom in a small Texas town.
Sel is the most recent celeb who’s shared her glamorous and not-so-glam life in the form of a documentary, and with the help of her partnership with Coach, she released a brand new mini-doc revealing all of the above. The 12-minute film starts off with Selena sorting through fabrics recalling her very first memory of Coach when she and her cousin Priscilla would save up money to buy Coach bags and wallets, when she suddenly realizes how drastic times have change…
Sorry Sel, there’s no one here to pinch you because you sure ain’t dreaming. Another clip shows Selena chatting with Coach’s executive creative director Stuart Vevers about the creative process that goes into her work.
The documentary then takes fans behind-the-scenes as Selena prepares to shoot her Coach campaign, getting ready for the Met Gala, and even inspiring fans beyond the clothing and designer shoes. Sel also made an appearance at a meet-up with the Step Up organization dedicated to the empowerment of teen girls from under-resourced communities. Seriously, I’m not kidding when I say this girl is a literal walking angel.
She left many of the girls in tears and inspired as she’s stated many times before that loving yourself and taking care of yourself is something so important to her and that she continues to stress time and time again. Well I think I speak for everyone when I say that the world could definitely use more people like Ms. Gomez… but right now I want to know what you guys thought about Selena’s mini-documentary, and what your favorite part was, so get to talking down here in the comments, and as always, don’t forget to subscribe.
