Selena Gomez Gives Snippet of "Bad Liar" & Sparks Controversy With Bandaged Wrist Photo

Selena Gomez shares a snippet of her “Bad Liar” song on Instagram!
And with it came a VERY controversial promo photo.
Over the last week Selena Gomez has been teasing us with an upcoming single called “Bad Liar”. There have been photos of the words written in lipstick on a mirror, photos of “Bad Liar” written on Selena’s body, and also taunting lyrics written on a mirror. Just last night Selena treated fans to the first snippet of the song, which appears to sample a Talking Heads track named “Psycho Killer”... take a listen!
But it’s the promo photo alongside this snippet on Instagram that has fans worried. In the photo Selena looks natural while laying down on a bed but appears to be crying. After noticing how stunning SelGo looks in the pic, you can’t help but notice the bandages on her wrist and her “risk” hospital bracelet. This led many to believe that Selena had been under medical supervision for actions related to suicide, which is oddly similar to the theme of her Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.
However, the promo photo’s photographer quickly came to Selena’s defense. Petra Collins also posted the photo to her account where someone commented, “I didn’t think anything of the fall risk wristband until I saw the bandage on her wrist. What is this pic trying to convey? Attempted suicide? Lame.” Petra clapped back to the comment and cleared up the controversy writing, “Selena came straight from the hospital for this shoot- from being there for Lupus.”
As you know, Selena checked into rehab last year for depression and other side effects caused by her Lupus disease.
