If you’re like most millennials or Gen-Z-ers, you’re probably just catching tonight’s American Music Awards through social media. But if you’re watching that way, it’s so easy to miss some of the best moments among all the noise that’s happening.
What’s up guys it’s Dani Golub here with Clevver News and luckily for you, I’m here to tell you all of the biggest moments from this years AMA’s red carpet. Lizzo was one of the first people to show up on the red carpet this year. And that’s probably because she didn’t have a lot to pack to bring with her.As told by this tiny, tiny purse. It’s just big enough to carry all of her haters, and she showed it off on the red carpet as the true star of the night. Someone online said “Lizzo is amaaaaazing & gorgeous & I need that bitty purse”Well, good luck getting it! It’s made by Valentino, and there’s only 3 of them in existence. No word yet who own the other 2. Selena also looked amazing on the red carpet in this bright lemon green dress. And I guess all the flashing lights must have been reflecting off the dress, because when she was posing for photos, she almost tripped over her own feet! It was caught on camera - and you can almost hear her say “I can’t walk”.Billie Eilish came to the red carpet straight from her part-time beekeeping job.Or, as this person said “looks like she auditioned for the handmaids tale before this and didn’t have time to change”
I’m not hating! I think this look is VERY Billie Eilish and I like it. But we can still poke fun a bit, right?People were confused when Shawn and Camila didn’t walk the red carpet together, but all of those worries were blown away when they performed their hit “Senorita” together during the award show. And that’s not all people were talking about regarding Shawn. No, not his chest hair. Someone on Twitter said “please tell me shawn mendes did not show up to AMAs looking like the Joker”
And honestly I can’t get this image out of my head. Someone else said “Wanna know how I got these stitches?”, and honestly they should get the AMA for comedy star of the year. BTS was nominated for three awards at this year’s American Music Awards. And right after they were snubbed at the Grammys, they won their first award for “Group/Duo of the year”.And they phoned in with their acceptance speech.
So BIG congrats to these guys ! As the award show goes on, we’ll see if they win their other two nominations for Best social artist and best tour.That last one will be tough, since they’re up against Ariana Grande, Elton John, Pink, and Post Malone.
