Senior lawyer Mohd Shafee Abdullah is anticipating a fun-filled affair on the legal proceedings for the six fresh charges against his client, former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.
Najib and Treasury secretary-general Irwan Serigar Abdullah pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court today to six counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM6,636,065,000 in funds belonging to the government.
Elaborating, Shafee said the charges concerned executive decisions of the minister of finance (Najib) and Treasury secretary-general (Irwan Serigar Abdullah).
He explained that the decisions were to re-channel finances which have been earmarked for a specific purpose for another more important objective.
