The K-Pop group BTS, AKA Bangtan Boys, AKA Bulletproof Boy Scouts, AKA one of the BIGGEST musical groups in the world right now, has just found its newest fan. The seven-member group debuted in 2013 and has been going non-stop ever since. They have MILLIONS of dedicated fans and they recently have been showing up more and more in the United States.
This year they beat Justin Bieber AND Selena Gomez by winning the Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist and that’s just ONE of the 13 awards they have won in 2017 alone. Their music began to gain more traction in the U.S. and it didn’t take long until there was a full-on BTS takeover.
They were on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Late Late Show with James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel Live ahead of their highly-anticipated performance at the American Music Awards. It was the band’s first time performing live on television in the United States and they did NOT disappoint.
The guys sang their hit song “DNA” and gained millions of more fans in the span of their 4-minute performance, including Shawn Mendes.
Shawn got to meet the guys and in a new interview spilled about the experience saying that the guys were QUOTE “probably the most beautiful guys I’ve ever seen in my life” which DUH.
He also revealed that he’s just like us because he’s apparently re-watched their AMA performance 100 times because SAME.
Just when we thought that we could love that Shawn was a huge BTS fan even more, he dropped a huge hint that has us insanely excited. When Shawn was asked about possibility of working with the group in the future, he said QUOTE “I think they're incredible. Oh yeah, I would love to. I think that would be amazing.”
How can we make this happen?! If you need me I’ll be dreaming of the day this song actually happens.
