Stranger Things Gets RENEWED: Who's Returning, Episode Titles & More Revealed In Teaser

Stranger Things fans can all breathe a sigh of relief because the show has been officially picked up for another season.
Thing-ers, your prayers have finally been heard answered. ‘Stranger Things’ is returning to Netflix for a second season! The only bad news? It won’t be available until 2017.
While there is no official date for the premiere of season two, ‘Stranger Things’ fans can all revel in the fact the show is returning and we’ll all finally be one step closer to solving the crazy mystery that is happening in Hawkins, Indiana. Immediately after the announcement, Netflix released what appears to be a very vague teaser trailer for the upcoming season.
We can only assume the words plastered across the screen are episode titles for the upcoming season since the Duffer Brothers revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that there will be nine episodes – one more than the first.
The show creators spilled quite a lot of details in their interview with EW. The brothers revealed that the show will continue to take place in the 1980s because there are QUOTE, ‘still things that are unresolved.’ So, while we can all expect to see Mike, Joyce, Dustin, other familiar faces as well as new characters, Eleven’s future in the show is not yet known. He said QUOTE, “We don’t know about Eleven. We’ll leave that up in the air.”
Okay, so as of right now we don’t know if Eleven will return, but one thing’s for sure, we haven’t seen the last of Upside Down. Matt explained that they definitely want to explore the alternate dimension just a little bit more since there’s so much we don’t know about it.
Ross also added to topic of Upside Down and said, ‘We obviously have this gate to another dimension, which is still very much open in the town of Hawkins. And a lot of questions there in terms of, if the Monster is dead, was it a singular monster? What else could be out there? We really don’t go in there much until they go in to find Will at the end. So we’ve opened up this doorway, and to us it’s exciting to talk about, like, what else is behind there? There’s a lot more mystery there to be solved.” Well, Ross, you can say that again.
