Check out the new teaser for Stranger Things Season 2, PLUS we’ve finally got the premiere date and a new poster has been revealed...
Stranger Things was one of our favorite shows last year, and judging by the new teaser for season 2, our obsession is only going to get stronger.
The second season of Stranger Things will hit Netflix on October 27th, so set your calendars to binge watch the whole thing just before Halloween. While we’ve been given some details as to what to expect, thanks to some of the cast’s hints and the short teaser that featured a giant, terrifying monster with many legs, the latest trailer is giving us even more details to freak out about. Check it out...
Okay, so while it’s short and sweet and doesn’t give too much away, from the new trailer we now know the season is taking place in 1984, and the boys are back on their bikes in Hawkins, Indiana, while some extremely ominous red clouds and lightning light up the sky. It definitely looks like the Upside Down is going to get even more powerful and more terrifying.
Besides the new trailer, the show released a new poster for the upcoming season, and it pretty much shows us a still of exactly what we saw in the trailer, except we’ve got a much better look at that monster in the sky.
Netflix also released the official synopsis for the season, which reads QUOTE: "It's 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived."
The cast members have all hinted that this season will be much darker, and after hearing that and seeing the new poster and trailer, I definitely believe them. On a lighter note, it’s good to know that Will, who was stuck in the Upside Down for pretty much the entire last season, is finally going to get to join in on the adventures with his friends. Eleven is noticeably absent in the teaser and the trailer, along with the other favorite characters in the show, but don’t worry--they’re all definitely returning.
