Millie Bobby Brown teases what’s to come in season 2 of Stranger Things, plus get more season 2 details and rumors...
For those who don’t wanna know ANYTHING that’s going down in Stranger Things 2, divert your eyes and ears now, cuz there are spoilers are ahead.
Millie Bobby Brown, aka Eleven from the show, opened up to InStyle about what’s to come in season 2 of Stranger Things, without giving too much away. When the mag asked if her character would return to the show, she said QUOTE, “Maybe … I don’t know...You’re going to have to wait and see. I’m very bad at acting when I’m lying. You’ve just got to watch it. It’s very good, very funny. You’ll see …” Of course, we KNOW Eleven is in season 2 thanks to some pics from the table read earlier this year and Millie has also said of the next chapter of the show QUOTE, “It’s very dark. It’s a lot different from season one, you’re going to like it a lot more than season one.”
And more details have slowly leaked about the second season thanks to the showrunners, producers, and actors all giving away little hints here and there.
According to details revealed by Entertainment Weekly, the season begins with the kids heading out for Halloween dressed up as the Ghostbusters. Will, who spent the majority of his time being trapped in the upside down last season, has joined the group again but he’s dealing with the aftermath of being trapped in the upside down. According to the Duffer Brothers, he will be at the center of the second season.
As for new cast members, actor Will Chase from Nashville was cast in the role of Neil Mayfield, a father of a family who recently moved from California to Hawkins, Indiana.
Meanwhile Joyce is dating a man named Bob, played by Sean Astin, to give more stability to her boys. Winona Ryder said of Joyce’s dating life QUOTE, “I think she’s made this choice with Bob because she wants a good father figure in her sons’ lives.”
David Harbour, who plays Hopper in the series, said of his character’s story in the second season QUOTE, “It kind of falls on Hopper to be the voice of authority to say, ‘This did happen and this didn’t happen...He’s struggling with the compromise that takes him to, having to lie and cover things up.”
Nancy and Mike are mourning the loss of Barb and Eleven, meanwhile The lab where everything went down in season 1 is apparently still open.
As for potential for more seasons of Stranger Things, it certainly seems likely thanks to director Shawn Levy explaining QUOTE, "As the episodes were written by the Duffers, they realized that there was too much story for nine episodes. So it forced us to be judicious in which stories we tell this season. So one of the surprises was, not all of our grand ideas are going to be serviced in one season... If we had 40 ideas going into the season, 30 [we] are going to pick, and the rest go in the back of our head for, hopefully, future chapters."
As exciting as it is to think about even more seasons of Stranger Things is, we still have to make it all the way to October to check out Season 2.
