Millie Bobby Brown admits she argues with her Stranger Things Costars, plus we’ve got new Stranger Things 3 details confirmed!
The cast of Stranger Things are so close at this point, they’re basically siblings.
The Stranger Things crew got together for a panel discussion at PaleyFest on Sunday, and stars Millie Bobby Brown and Caleb McLaughlin opened up about how much the cast’s relationships with each other have evolved.
Millie explained QUOTE, “It was like a relationship actually, because it felt like we went through a honeymoon stage..We would be, like, really nice to each other. We didn't want to do anything that would hurt each other's feelings."
Of course, now that they’re on season 3, things have changed. Millie joked QUOTE, “Now it's SO different. We are actually siblings. We argue all the time."
It’s that kind of closeness and chemistry between the cast that makes for such real and relatable characters on the show.
And speaking of Stranger Things, executive producer Shawn Levy was grilled at Paleyfest about details on the show’s upcoming third season.
Shawn told The Hollywood Reporter that season 3 would be starting during the summer of 1985, which was coincidentally the same year The Goonies and Back to the Future were released. So hopefully we can expect to see some influences and references from those iconic films throughout the season.
As far as storylines go, Shawn was sworn to secrecy of course, but he did reveal that we’ll be seeing the younger cast getting into their first relationships, including Mike and Eleven and Lucas and Max. Shawn explained QUOTE, “Mike and Eleven and are going strong, so that's a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas. But again, they're like 13 or 14-year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life? It can never be simple and stable relationships and there's fun to that instability.”
And those fans of Dad Steve will be thrilled to know that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Steve Harrington this season, although there will be some changes to his character. Shawn said QUOTE, “We won't be abandoning the Dad Steve magic. I don't want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve.”
We couldn’t agree more. There’s no official release date for the third season as of now, but whenever it DOES drop, we’ll be ready.
