And thankfully she’s now able to joke about psycho-serial-dater-Tay, portrayed by the media, because in true Tay fashion, she wrote a song and it made millions… yeah, who’s laughing now?
Taylor Swift really DOES always get the last word. Before she performed her smash hit “Blank Space” for an intimate audience during her Grammy Museum debut last September, she recalled reading about a fictional character that the media had portrayed her to be.
Taylor also revealed that she was hurt at first, saying QUOTE, "My first reaction was like, 'Man, that's a bummer. This isn't fun for me. "But my second reaction was like, 'Hey, that's actually a really interesting character. So, I was like, 'I can use this!'" But she finally realized that this character was someone she wanted to bring to life, so in true Taylor Swift fashion, she wrote a song about this over-the-top character.
And I think we can all agree that this sounds exactly like the crazy psycho girl we saw in the “Blank Space” music video. But aside from the craziness, Taylor then delivered a flawless acoustic performance of the song and she did NOT disappoint.
So while I go listen to that all day on repeat, I want to know what you guys thought about Taylor’s performance and your thoughts on how “Blank Space” came to be, so get the conversation going right down here in the comments section below.
