So it was less of Taylor having a breakdown and more-so a minor stage breakdown, but the only way to handle a code red situation? Just shake it off… DUH!
And shaking it off is exactly how Taylor handled it. Right before she was about to sing her hit, “Clean,” Taylor was perched high up on an extendable stage, when it completely stopped working, causing her to be stuck in mid-air.
She informed her sold-out crowd that she have to stay in the middle of Nationals Park in DC all night, saying QUOTE, "They just told me in my ear that I might be stuck up here forever. This thing is broken. I was just thinking about how I was singing a song about rain and it rained today…it's not that funny…We're just gonna have to rechoreograph the entire show. It's fine. Whatever. It's gonna be a unique show D.C.!"
But the show must go on and Taylor wasn’t about to let anything rain on her parade, literally, and in minutes the stage was completely fixed and she was returned back to planet Earth where she finished the show out strong.
And the minor malfunction came just before one of Taylor’s VERY special guests flew 19 hours to give fans a “Royal” treat. Do you see what I’m getting at here? Check it out:
GOOD LORDE, talk about a fierce duo! Thankfully this badass performance was the talk of the night, so the stage malfunction was just a minor bump.
