Everybody always talks about how music artists change over the years, and they just want the artist to go back to their roots. Well Taylor has read her fans minds and took the country road back to her roots recently in an epic collab with country music duo Sugarland. The new single is called “babe” and it was dropped on Thursday night. And with T-swift being the actual author of the song, we can trust it was always going to be a great country tune.
It turns out at Taylor has had this song in her back pocket for quite some time. Originally, it was slated to come out on 6 years ago on the 2012 album “red”.And on social media, t-swift fans have been comparing it to red since it was released on thursday. Taylor herself actually presented the song to sugarland, and they quickly said yes to the collaboration offer.
Jennifer Nettles is one of the lead singers of the duo sugarland, and here is what she had to say about her collab with Taylor: “This collaboration is the perfect combination of mutual admiration for each other and mutual admiration for great songs, As artists, we really see the world through a similar lense.
Taylor has been transitioning out of country music since roughly 2013 and people missing the old taylor should definitely check out 2018 Country taylor as soon as possible. Jennifer nettles continued to gush about taylor to pop culture magazine, she said: QUOTE “We have obviously known each other for many years… she was excited we were getting back together and reached out, and said, Hey, I have a song, wanna sing it? So we said yes”
