Taylor Swift Rings In Pride Month With HEARTFELT Speech During Chicago Show

If you haven’t noticed by the rainbow flags and tshirts and billboards everywhere- or is that just LA?- it is PRIDE month yall! Hold your fist up nice and proud and wear your rainbow accessories and your possibly fluid sexual orientation with pride! And THAT is EXACTLY what Taylor Swift just did at her sold out Chicago show. Helping to launch Pride Month in June, Tay gave an emotional speech that touched the hearts of her gazillions of fans.
She continued by saying, QUOTE “This month and every month I want to send my love and respect to everybody who has been brave enough to be honest about how they feel, to live their lives as they are, as they feel they should be, as they identify. This is a month where I think we need to celebrate how far we’ve come, but I think we also need to acknowledge how far we have left to go. I want to send my love and respect to everybody who hasn’t felt comfortable enough to come out yet ... and may you do that on your own time and may we end up in a world where everyone can live and love equally and no one has to be afraid to all say how they feel.” AMEN! She finished it off with QUOTE “When it comes to feelings and when it comes to love and searching for someone to spend your whole life with ... it’s all just really, really delicate." And then she launched into her song “Delicate.” Oh this speech made me so happy! It’s not about supporting gay rights because it’s trendy or because the rainbow just happens to be a really pretty symbol and my favorite emoji. It’s about acknowledging that you’re born the way you’re born and shame on anyone for making you feel bad for loving whoever you love. Thank you, Taylor, for supporting your LGBTQ fans, and to the young girl that tweeted me the night that Trump won, crying because you were now more afraid than ever to come out of the closet, you’re still in my thoughts.
