Taylor Swift’s controversial Grammy Speech from last year has been turned into a short film about women empowerment.
I can put a little white lie aside if it means inspiring young girls to be empowered.
Let’s walk down memory lane shall we? At last year’s Grammys, while accepting her award for Album of the Year Taylor Swift said this:
She was not so subtly throwing shade about Kanye who infamously said – “I think me and Taylor might still have sex, why? I made that B famous” in his song Famous. And her speech was impactful at the time until Kim K released some savage snapchat receipts that resulted in the entirety of the internet calling Taylor a snake. But it’s been a year. And we’re letting bygones be bygones for this sweet video that the Grammys just released showing young girls taking turns reciting Taylor’s empowering words. Take a look:
How sweet is that? The short is called It Was You to send a message to young girls to always pursue their dreams. They recite Taylor words saying QUOTE - “If you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you will look around and you will know it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.” Yas queen.
I want to hear what you guys think about this inspiring video so let me know in the comment section below and also do you think they should do this with any other impactful speeches?
