The season 4 finale for Teen Wolf aired last night and to be honest, I’m still recovering but right now I’m counting down 7 things you need to know if A.) you missed the episode OR B.) you feel like you need to relive the insanity and awesomeness a few more times.
Okay at number 7, we need to talk about Kira’s newfound healing power. So as you guys know, Kira and Scott are in Mexico, Scott has been turned into a Berkerzer and at the top of the episode this happens:
Yeah, so what do you do when your boyfriend tries to murder you? Well you’ve gotta figure out how to save yourself:
Um, ouch. But the silver lining here is that it worked!
Moving on to the six spot, Derek just can’t stop sacrificing himself in this episode. Whether it’s almost dying in the back of the van while trying to stop Liam from going full wolf on the drive to Mexico OR jumping out of the car and having this happen:
WTF! Is Derek dead? Well, we’ll be getting to that later because Derek deserves a few more spots on our countdown.
But at numero cinco (that’s #5 people), we’ve gotta talk Lydia. Lydia never makes it to Mexico because a Berzerker locks her up in Beacon Hills…because they (AND PETER TOO) know that if she’s able to get to Mexico, she’ll know Scott’s in danger of dying. Long story short, Lydia’s attack at the school is a distraction to stop her from saving the day. Oh did I mention that Peter is basically the devil. Cuz there’s that too.
Which brings us to number 4 – Peter gets the whole group down to Mexico and encourages them to kill the Berzerkers and turn on their animal instincts because (as I’m sure you’ve guessed) his main goal is to have them kill Scott, but THANKFULLY, Stiles gets to them first
After this, Scott is somehow able to snap out of it and eventually, he beats Peter down with unstoppable force. But he doesn’t kill him…because they have other plans (worse plans) for this guy.
At number three, let’s hop back to Derek for a sec…because if you were like us you were freaking out after just seeing the trailer for this episode. I mean, look at what I did (because I’m a total crazy person) after I saw a teaser for this season and straight up asked Tyler Hoechlin if Derek was dead or not:
And I honestly thought he was goner after I watched this preciously devastating moment:
And that’s what is happening at number 2…just when we thought all hope was lost, this went down:
Yes my friends, that wolf (not teen wolf or half man half wolf…oh NO, THAT real WOLF) is Derek. Derek says he never died, he was just evolving, at which point he attacks Kate like…well, like a wolf. It was awesome.
So what could be more awesome than that? Well, Jeff Davis, who runs the show, is a genius who managed to power-punch the end of this episode with some sweet moments and some comedy…
But then he managed to fully freak us out with the final scene. We see that Peter has ended up locked away in Eichen house (which FYI is essentially an insane asylum for supernatural creatures)…and guess who his roommate is?
That scream is EVERYTHING! And that eyeball lodged in the back of that dudes brain is still giving me goose bumps. Truthfully, there was enough happening in this episode to fuel a list of 50 things we loved, but we only had time for 7 – which means, I need to hear from you! What was your favorite moment AND were you as freaked out as I was? And side note, doesn’t Scott seem so grown up now? Love it! Great job to the whole Teen Wolf crew on an awesome finale! We’ll be counting down until the next season. IN the meantime, hit the comments section to join the convo and click here to completely change things up and check out 9 TV high schools you wish you could attend. Would Beacon falls be on your list? And guys don’t forget to subscribe. I’m Joslyn Davis, thanks for watching and we’ll catch you later!
