The Kardashian Family Donates $500k To Hurricane Harvey Victims

Yup, that’s right. Today Kris Jenner announced that her and her famous daughters would be accepting Kevin Hart’s challenge to help those suffering from tropical storm Hurricane Harvey in Texas. In case you didn’t know a category 4 hurricane has swept through southeast Texas, devastating the Houston area and killing ten people so far. And the storm is far from over.
Late last night comedian Kevin Hart created the Hurricane Harvey Relief Challenge and tweeted: “Help me help the victims of Hurricane Harvey by donating whatever you can here. Let’s make a difference!!!”. Hours later the Kardashian family decided to step up in a major way.
Kris Jenner retweeted Kevin’s tweet and announced, “My daughters and I accept your challenge. We will be donating $500,000 to @redcross & @salvationarmy today #houstonstrong.” In a second tweet Kris added, “We have been watching the heartbreaking footage of the catastrophic flooding in Houston. Our hearts go out to the people of Texas.”
Kim Kardashian West confirmed the news tweeting, “Houston we are praying for you! My Mom, sisters & I will be donating $500,000 to @redcross and @salvationarmy today.” In addition, Khloe Kardashian announced the donation on her account, and Kylie retweeted Kim and added red heart emojis.
TMZ confirms that Kris, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie all contributed to the family’s donation equally. We gotta say, we like what we’re seeing here. We all must come together in times like these where our fellow Americans are left stranded, homeless, starving, and devastated. We would like to send our thoughts and prayers to all those affected in any way by Hurricane Harvey.
