The Intense storm has torn through southern Texas, and it isn’t over yet. At the VMA’s Katy Perry urged viewers to donate to the Red cross, stating “We’re praying for your safety in the days to come and stay with you as you rebuild, because we’re all in this together.” As Flood waters rise and the situation becomes more serious. Celebrities from all sides of the industry sent out their best wishes to the victims of the storm.
One of the most notable celebs sending love to the lone star state was Beyonce, a houston native. She took to instagram to post the texas flag with quote “Texas You are in my prayers.” but the love doesn’t stop there, country star and texas native MIranda Lambert, posted on twitter “prayers, light and love for Texas! #home #hurricaneharvey.
Eva Longoria said “God Bless all the Texans affected by Hurricane Harvey and prayers to my hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas.”
WIth the storm set to come back through wednesday night people are bracing for the worst. Texans are already driving their boats in to help people get to shelter who are stranded. And tons of folks are donating to the salvation army, and the red cross. Houston Native hilary duff posted on twitter “This is beyond devastating, truly heartbroken for my home town. #staystrong #deepintheheart” Even non texas natives like Dwayne Johnson sent their love to the victims of hurricane harvey. “Stay Strong houston and hold onto faith. Me and my family know what you’re going thru. We survived the eye of Andrew and became stronger - so will you. All my love and strength.” On top of all that, The owner of the Texans football team pledged to donate 1 million dollars. They say when tragedy strikes, look for the helpers, there will always be helpers.
