Thousands gather near Seafield temple, FRU deployed

Thousands of people have gathered near the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in USJ 25, Subang Jaya, tonight, which was the scene of violence in the wee hours this morning.
Most of them appear to be calm and are seen milling about on nearby streets, while traffic information services on Google Maps and Waze both show heavy traffic congestion on surrounding roads.
However, some were seen setting up a makeshift roadblock and harassing passing drivers and motorcyclists.
It is understood that at least one Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) troop has been deployed to the scene, including a water cannon truck.
Meanwhile, Bernama quoted inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun urging the crowd to disperse and not create any provocation.
He said preliminary information obtained by the police showed there were certain quarters trying to cause tension.
