區議會選舉周日就投票，喺1994年已擔任柴灣漁灣選區區議員嘅民建聯鍾樹根，今屆都爭取連任。
傘後facebook群組「添美新村，繼續撐傘！」噚日就上載一條短片，片中可見，Tree根似乎喺區內一間酒樓宣傳、並向茶客派發選舉單張，其間派畀一名年長男士時講咗句：「呢個禮拜投票，有乜嘢事搵我幫手，唔該晒！」但呢位長者不單冇理會，接過傳單後仲好霸氣咁撕爛，仲叫Tree根：「唔好呃人。」雖則見慣世面，但Tree根都好冇癮，最後講咗句「多謝你」後就離開。
Tree根參選嘅漁灣選區，仲有另一名報稱獨立嘅候選人徐子見。
