The AMAs are RIGHT around the corner and we gotta talk out who we think is gonna win the New Artist of the Year category, because it's insane! 5 Seconds of Summer, Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor, Sam Smith & Bastille are all going up against each other... and my mind is blown! Hey guys I'm your host Chelsea Briggs and you're watching the Hollywire Hot Minute! 
So the BIGGEST artists gather to party the night away for the AMAs and let's be honest winning the new artist award is a pretty big deal! I mean Last year Ariana took it home and we all know how her year went... So who's next??? Dun DUN DUN! Okay that was dramatic... let's kick this off with 5SOS! Now these Aussies have officially exploded: They've got Teen Choice Surfboards, MTV Moonmen, Kids Choice Blimps- all of em'- they've had 4 Headlining tours, just as many singles and an entire fan-convention... all in 2014. I mean.... they rock!
Next up Meghan Trainor.  Soooo “All About That Bass,” was hands down the song of the summer. And her newest hit “Lips Are Movin” is SO GO! Also, I got to interview her at iHeart; and she is a total goodwill, so down to earth and fun, made me adore her that much more, take a look: 
Now let's Bastille it up in here! They're British, they're super cute and they're CRAZY-Talented. You know their song “Pompeii” because it's had non-stop radio play this year ohh and they're AMAZING live: 
Now onto I-G-G-Y! Miss Azalea!! I mean talk about a killer year. The thing I love about her is that she's nominated for the MOST AMAs of ANYONE this year, and yet she's inn the New Artist Category! Say what? This has never happened before!? Ohh and one word... FANCY!  
And finally Sam Smith. He's an angel. His voice is the most angelic of my life! Known as the boy version of Adele, his hit single 'Stay With Me' is everyone's favorites. I mean he has straight made a name of himself in 2014 and I dig him hard! Take a listen:
