Former deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi paid RM35,726.80 a year for his vehicles' road tax, most of which were registered under his name.
This was revealed by Putrajaya Road Transport Department (RTD) assistant director Zaharudin Zainuddin in his written statement during the sixth day of the trial related to Yayasan Akalbudi's criminal breach of trust.
Zaharudin confirmed the total amount for the road tax as stated on the vehicle information document when it was referred to him by deputy public prosecutor Lee Keng Fatt before judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah today.
