Effective today, motor vehicle licenses, also known as road tax stickers, are no longer required to be displayed on privately owned vehicles by Malaysians.
In a statement, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said as such, the enforcement of Section 20 of the Road Transport Act, which mandates that motor vehicle licenses must be displayed on vehicles, will no longer be in effect.
The minister stated that this change will be implemented in stages, with the first phase affecting individual private vehicles, including motorcycles - owned by Malaysians.
