Just because Zayn isn’t a part of One Direction anymore doesn’t mean he doesn’t pay attention to what his former bandmates are doing! The newly solo singer revealed his thoughts on 1D’s ‘History’ video and don’t worry guys, it’s a positive one.
You might wanna grab some tissues, because this may or may not bring tears to your eyes. During Zayn’s interview with Zach Sang & the Gang, Z was asked what his thoughts were on 1D’s latest music video and how he felt about the guys using old footage of him in it and here’s what he had to say:
It’s confirmed, you guys. Zayn is still 1-D-A-F. Now, Z wasn’t the only person who opened up about the latest One Direction video. The music video directors Ben Winston and Gabe Turner revealed to MTV that the original ending to the video – remember, the part where they all walked in separate directions and everyone basically cried about that? Yeah, well, something else was supposed to happen after they all walked out of the shot.
Ben admitted that they probably should’ve left the ending in because QUOTE, “I think too much has been read into that ending where they walk off in different directions. Because actually, they do run back together at the end.”
Well, thanks a lot Ben! After Ben made that revelation, Gabe jumped in to talk about that final scene being cut from the music video because according to Gabe, he said QUOTE, “It just didn’t look that great…It wasn’t supposed to be them walking off, it was just kind of like an, ‘OK, see you in a bit, guys.’”
If they had kept that last bit in, there probably wouldn’t have been too much speculation about the group splitting up. Oh well, what’s done is done.
Now that you know all this brand new information about the video, do you think the editors should’ve kept in the part where Harry, Niall, Louis, and Liam ran back in and hugged each other?
