The attack after Ariana Grande’s concert was heartbreaking, but it wasn’t enough to keep the people of Manchester down.
All it took was just a little bit pop music to bring a TON of people together for a great cause.
Less than two weeks after the Manchester Arena attack, Ariana and her incredible team put together a benefit concert to honor the victims as well as to raise money for the families affected by the tragedy and to no one’s surprise, the show went off without a hitch.
The star-studded concert raised over 2 million pounds for the Manchester Emergency Fund, putting the total amount raised for the emergency fund at over 9 million pounds – just to put things into perspective, that’s basically more than 12 million dollars.
One Love Manchester was broadcasted live around the globe, but if you missed the show, don’t worry! We’ve got all the must-see moments from One Love Manchester, right here. Kicking off our list is this tear-jerking moment Ariana had when she surprised the Paris Wood High School choir on stage.
During their performance of ‘My Everything,’ the ‘Dangerous Woman’ singer strolled out in the middle of the song to sing with the group and one girl was so overwhelmed with emotion that she started crying and then this happened.
You should probably keep that box of tissues right next to you because well, you’re going to need it. Throughout the show, Ariana joined a few performers on stage for some special duets. The singer sang with Coldplay, Victoria Monet, and as amazing as those performances were, these next few are definitely worth seeing.
Ariana and Miley teamed up to sing a past cover, ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over,’ without the animal onesies and it was just as amazing as the first time they did it together.
Later in the show, Ari joined the Black Eyed Peas on stage for ‘Where Is the Love.’
And during one of her mini sets throughout the show, Ariana brought out Mac Miller for their duet of ‘The Way.’
Since the show was all about love, it only makes sense for Mac to join Ari on stage for their super lovey dovey song.
Although Little Mix was only on stage for one song, the girl group made sure it was a performance to remember.
