The 2015 award show season continued with The 72nd Golden Globes Sunday night meaning yet another round of golden accolades were distributed.
Welcome to Clevver’s Trophy Life where we are bringing you all the highlights from this year’s Golden Globes
Amy Adams took home a globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her work in Big Eyes while the adjoining category for best actor went to Michael Keaton for his performance in Birdman. But it was The Grand Budapest Hotel that brought it home for the categories’ Best Motion Picture.
Boyhood was another big winner of the night sweeping up Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette, and Best Director for Richard Linklater.
Julianne Moore took home the categories’ Best Actress globe for her stellar performance in Still Alice while the adorable Eddie Redmayne took home Best Actor for his work in The Theory of Everything. Eddie and his wife just got married and actually had to cut their honeymoon short to attend the globes, but surely his win made it all worth while.
On the other side of the pond in the tv world, The Affair was the force to be reckoned with.
The Affair’s Ruth Wilson snagged Best Actress in a TV Series Drama and a win for Best TV Series Drama was the icing on top of the cake.
Also have to give a shout out to Gina Rodriguez for winning Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy. Gotta love that girl.
And props to Kevin Spacey for taking home a globe for Best Actor in a TV Series Drama for House of Cards after being nominated 8 times over the span of his career.
Talk about patience being a virtue.
