To say it was a big night for Taraji P. Henson and Lady Gaga is an understatement. The two actresses along with a few others walked away with their very first Golden Globe award and I have to say they were all well-deserved wins.
It was a big night for many at the 2016 Golden Globes – especially those who were nominated in the TV categories. Aside from Taraji and Lady Gaga taking home their first Golden Globe award, Rachel Bloom, Gael Garcia Bernal, Oscar Isaac, Maura Tierney, and Christian Slater were also first time winners at the award show.
Jon Hamm walked away with the award for Best Actor in a TV Series – Drama for Mad Men. While it was a big night for many of the actors and actresses, it was equally as big of a night for the TV shows that were nominated. ‘Wolf Hall,’ another first time winner, took home the award for Best TV Movie or Limited-Series while both shows ‘Mozart in the Jungle’ and ‘Mr. Robot’ took home two awards each. Congratulations to all of the winners from tonight! Award show season is just beginning.
