Jennifer Lawrence won a Golden Globe award for her role in ‘Joy’ and the actress had quite a few people to thank for that.
A perfect acceptance speech is honest, funny, tugs at the heartstrings a little and Jennifer Lawrence’s speech after her Golden Globe win had all of those.
JLaw was up against so many talented actresses in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy category, but in the end, the ‘Joy’ star reigned supreme when she was named winner and guys, you might want to grab some tissues because her speech was definitely a tear jerker. After making her way to the stage without any accidents (which, is a win in itself) the ‘Joy’ actress started off by thanking the film’s director, David O. Russell.
After spending a majority of her time thanking her partner in crime, Jennifer went on to thank Joy Mangano, the supporting cast, her hometown in Kentucky, and of course, her family. However, no JLaw acceptance speech is complete without a silly comment! So, before she scampered off the stage, Jennifer did what she does best and made things a little awkward by telling David in front of everyone that she wants to be buried next to him when she dies. Oh, JLaw.
